Time is running out fast to book a seat at the 2019 NAAMSA Automotive Conference, in association with the Innovation Group and AutoTrader, Reimagining the Future, at the Kyalami Conference Centre next Thursday (August 22).

"We have had an encouraging response from many sectors of the industry to send delegates to this important, annual conference, but there are still some seats available," commented Neil Piper, Head of Content Management, at Messe Frankfurt, the conference organisers.

"We have put together a diverse programme this year, headed by three keynote speakers, Ebrahim Patel, Minister of the Department and Trade and Industry; Bruno Grippay and Andrew Kirby, the President of NAAMSA as well as being President.

"This will be the first opportunity for the assembled South African motor industry to listen to an address by the newly-appointed minister of the DTI, who will talk on the subject "Is Government ready as a catalyst and enabler for change?" said Piper.

Grippay, currently Nissan's Regional Director for Connected Cars and Intelligent Mobility in Africa, the Middle East and India, will talk about autonomous driving, connected cars, electric vehicles, and car-sharing.

The conference is built around two themes, "Embracing innovation as an indispensable catalyst for prosperity and sustainable growth," and "Automotive trends, technology and consumer behaviour."

There will be five other speakers, as well as a discussion panel hosted by Mr. Mike Vincent, Director at Deloitte, so this certainly promises to be a conference with subjects appealing to a wide audience in an industry currently undergoing unprecedented change in a relatively short period of time.

The conference, which also offers ideal networking opportunities, will run from 08:30 to 13:30, then it will be followed by a light lunch.
